Fifteen presets to try

You don't need to know how to write prompts to get professional storyboard frames, reference sheets and camera angles: DOTV ships eighteen image presets, each one a prompt someone already wrote — pick one and you get the image without typing a word. They come in five groups, covering the things you do most in the early stages of AI video creation. This section covers where to pick one, what happens after you pick, and what each of the eighteen does.

Where to pick one

Two entry points, and they hand you the same list:

  • Preset on the node toolbar — select a node that already has an image and click Preset on its toolbar; what opens is this same panel, five groups in two columns, with all eighteen in it. Pick one and a node with that preset already applied drops onto the canvas to the right of the image, with the original wired in as its reference.
  • The preset panel on the input bar — with a node selected, hit Preset on the bottom input bar; it opens a panel laid out by group.
The preset panelFour groups in two columns: Narrative, Texture, Space & camera, Reference sheets. The one you pick highlights; click it again to clear it.
Five groups in two columns, with the current one highlighted; click it again to clear it.

After you pick

The preset you picked becomes a chip at the head of the input box, and that chip has two hot spots:

  • The name in the middle — click to swap in a different preset.
  • The gear on the right — opens that preset's own settings (Skin texture, for instance, has Subject blend, Skin and so on). Not every preset has them.

To remove it: put the caret after the chip and press Backspace, or click the chip to select it and press Backspace / Delete (you can also click the highlighted preset again in the Preset panel at the bottom to clear it).

With a preset picked you can send without writing a word — the template is what gets generated this time. Want to add something? Keep typing, and your words go on the end of the template. A few presets also lock the aspect ratio or the model for you (720° panorama, for one — see 3.5).
