This page covers everything in this DOTV update. Every entry comes with a demo screen — follow the "See" link to the guide section that explains it.

Storage: sorted by usage, cleaned up in one go

Storage in your Account sorts files by whether they are still in use, cleans them up in one click, groups them by project and opens a file's details; running out pops a dialog with Free up space / Upgrade plan, and a deleted file shows “This file has been deleted” where it is still referenced.

UsageUsed / total / how many files. The bar is split by whether files are still in use — on a canvas, only in chats, used nowhere — so you can see at a glance how much you could free. The tag at the top right says which space this is.

Versions stack themselves, and nodes take tags

Several takes of the same thing stack up on their own — only the newest shows, and opening the stack spreads it out in place so you can pick which version is current. Select a few nodes and press Stack to build one by hand; the whole stack counts as one asset when referenced. Nodes also take colored tags, with a tag library each person keeps.

A stack of versionsSeveral takes of the same thing stack up on their own: only the newest shows, with two covers fanned out behind it. The pill on the title bar says how many versions there are.

Keep talking while Agent is still running

In the composer, pressing Enter while the previous turn is still running puts that line into the turn; ⌘/Ctrl+Enter queues it instead, where you can drag to reorder, edit or delete. The whole conversation survives a refresh, and the @ menu ends with a new Pick from canvas row.

The line inserted into this turnPress Enter while the previous turn is still running and the line is a bubble inside that turn right away — the model sees it before it does anything else, instead of waiting for the turn to finish.

Frame study: one row per real cut

Frame study now writes the script one row per real cut in the picture, and completes each shot from the frames just before and after it; for a study you already ran, one line to the Agent re-cuts only the script from the cuts, keeping the assets and your edits.

The clip to break downConnect a clip that is already generated — that is what the study takes apart. With nothing connected the card says to connect a generated video node.

Smart edit: two pictures side by side

Smart edit can play two pictures at once — side by side, stacked or picture-in-picture — so the original and the previz compare at a glance, and the output ratio follows (two 16:9 pictures side by side make 32:9). A failed export now says which step it stalled on.

Original and previz side by sideTwo 16:9 pictures, half the frame each, playing at once: the original on the left, the previz on the right. The output ratio becomes 32:9, so there are no black bars.

Square connections, and Tidy up lays out a tree

Node connections now run square with right angles and route around the cards, and several lines leaving one node are spaced apart instead of merging into one; Tidy up now lays the canvas out along its connections as a tree that grows left to right.

Tidy upLays the canvas out along its connections as a tree that grows left to right: anything derived sits to the right of its source; several things derived from one source (different shots, different takes on an idea) stack top to bottom; several versions of the same thing (v2, v3) are stacked into one pile; a merge such as a stitch sits to the right of all its sources. A set that a previz shot includes counts as that shot's source. Top-level groups are laid out in a row from left to right with their top edges aligned; groups the Agent made are tidied inside too: their nodes keep their original order, top to bottom, and anything derived sits to the right; other groups move as one block, nodes and all. Top-level nodes connected to nothing are laid out in a grid underneath the groups. Shortcut ⌥⇧F.
