Agent settings

The moment DOTV's Agent gets going it spends credits on images and clips by itself, and it may stop partway to wait for an answer. You should know both of those before your first run, and be able to change them right there — hence this confirmation dialog. This section covers what you see before your first message, what happens after you turn automatic generation off, how to set the budget reminder and notifications, how to export the chat, and where to change it all later.

Before your first message

The first time you send Agent a message, that message is held back and this dialog comes up:

The first-run noticeThe first time you message Agent, this dialog holds that message back — once the agent runs it spends credits on its own, so you get a look at both groups of switches first.
1 / 5
Two notices on top, then two groups of switches: Collaboration (budget included) and Notifications.

Hit Confirm and send: the settings are saved and the message you just wrote goes out immediately, nothing to click twice. Hit Cancel and it isn't sent — what you typed is still in the input box.

After you turn automatic generation off

Generate images/videos automatically is on by default: when the agent wants an image it just makes one, without asking once. That's its normal shape — asking every time is the mode you switch to when you want to go easy on credits.

With it off, a confirmation comes up before each image or clip, showing the prompt for this one and a line saying generating costs credits.

  • Hit Allow — it runs as usual.
  • Hit Reject (or press Esc, or click outside) — no credits are spent this time, and it won't quietly retry as though it had failed; it comes back and asks how you want to adjust.

Budget reminder

In the same Collaboration section sits Credit budget management, on by default (threshold 250). It blocks nothing — when this conversation's cumulative spend reaches the threshold, a line pops up: "This conversation has used N credits, over the reminder threshold you set (M)". After that it speaks up again each time the total doubles (once more at 500), not once per turn.

The threshold sits right under the switch: click the number to edit it in place (a whole number between 100 and 100000), it settles when you click away, and it's saved along with the Save button at the bottom. Turn the switch off and that row grays out with it.

Memory

Memory is on by default: the agent stores the preferences and requirements you state into your account, and they apply across chats and projects — say something once, no need to repeat it.

Everything it stores is visible in the settings dialog: entries listed under the memory switch, each with a type (user preference / corrections & requirements / project progress / external reference). You can edit, delete, or add entries yourself. Saying "remember…" or "don't…" in the chat also makes it remember. Turn the master switch off and it stops reading and writing; turn it back on, and what was stored is still there.

Notifications

A full run (write the copy → make the images → make the clips) often takes several minutes, by which point you've probably moved on to something else. With System notifications on, it calls you at two moments: when it stops to wait for an answer, and when a turn is done.

  • In the browser, turning the switch on asks for permission once. If it's denied, the switch flips back by itself — better that than showing "on" while not a single notification can arrive. To allow it later, allow it in your system or site settings and try again.
  • It only fires while you aren't looking at this page: switched away counts, and so does the page sitting open while you work in another window or another app. One with the panel right in front of you is pure noise.
  • Notification sound is a sub-switch: a sound as the notification arrives. It's grayed out while notifications are off — without notifications, a beep on its own means nothing.

If you clicked straight through that first dialog and skipped notifications, a Turn on notifications prompt comes up above the input box the next time you're actually waiting on a video. Close it with the × and it won't bother you again this session.

Export chat

Everything chatted on this canvas can be taken away in one piece: at the bottom of the settings dialog sits Export chat — hit Download to save a chat-record file with every turn of the conversation and every node the agent touched (failed and skipped ones included). The section doesn't appear until there is something to export.

The "Export chat" row added at the bottom of the settings dialog.

Changing it later

The gear in the panel header opens the same dialog, only the button now says Save — there's no message waiting to go at that point, so nothing gets sent along with it.
