Canvas tools

Every change DOTV's Agent makes gets a line in the timeline: what it did, which node it touched and where the result landed, so every step taken on your behalf is auditable. It can do all of this: create, edit and delete nodes (image, video, audio and text alike, with the name, the prompt, the model and the preset all writable), run a node, work the tools on a node's toolbar (upscale, multi-angle, relight, audio separation, run the whole group…), and look things up (which nodes are on the canvas, which models and presets exist, where the background tasks stand). Everything else is yours to do, and the list is below.

Two steps: create the node, then run it

Write to canvasCreates nodes, generates nothing: a few empty nodes appear on the canvas right away, prompts and models already filled in. That is why you see a batch of empty cards first.
1 / 2
The node is placed first, then generation starts.

So on the canvas you'll see a few empty cards appear first, then the images arrive one by one. That isn't stuck: the Agent first fills in the node's name, prompt and model, then submits the generation. Queue and generation progress are drawn on the node, and the timeline adds the result automatically once everything settles (see 12.1).

The nodes it touched

The node it touchedThe card shows the node as it is now: once it has an image, that is the image; rename it and this changes too. Click it to jump to the node on the canvas — the button in the corner does the same.
1 / 2
The nodes it touched hang under the action.

A card shows the node as it is now — a video that fills in its cover a few minutes later, a node you renamed, and the card follows along. A node gets a card only under the last line that touched it: for the create-then-run pair the card hangs under the "Generate node" line, rather than two identical cards under two lines.

Delete that node later and the card does not disappear with it: it keeps the version it had. The timeline is the record of what this turn did, and a deleted node shouldn't leave a hole in it — the only difference is that clicking the card no longer finds anything on the canvas.

Done / Failed / Not wired

FailedThe whole row turns red. The reason is written on the node itself on the canvas (out of credits, upstream timeout…) — fix the prompt and rerun it yourself, or ask the agent to try again.
1 / 2
The word at the end of the line: Failed is red, Not wired isn't.

"Not wired" is not a breakage, and it isn't the network either — that action simply isn't available to the Agent yet. It is a settled state, so retrying gets you nowhere; the reply the agent receives also says why, and where the job actually gets done.

The few things it can't do

Do these yourself, in the interface:

What it can't do Where you do it
Switch, create or delete a canvas The canvas list at the top of the left column (1.3) — it can only work on the one you have open
Upload media Drag it onto the canvas, or use the plus in the input area
Projects, folders, toolboxes, generation history Their own entry points on the home page and on the canvas
Credits, storage, teams, keys The account menu (Chapter 14)
Importing models into the Previz, cloning and favoriting voices Their own panels (8.5 / 5.3 / 5.4)

Telling it which node to change

The only nodes it can reach are the ones you reference for it. The least work is to select them on the canvas — selecting is referencing, and a chip turns up in the input box right away (see 12.1).

The step that spends credits

More than one action spends credits: besides "Generate node", upscale, multi-angle, relight, audio separation, running a whole group and similar canvas tools cost credits too when it runs them for you. Turn off Generate images/videos automatically and it asks you once before every step, showing what that step is about to do. Hit Reject: nothing is charged, and it doesn't quietly retry — it comes back and asks how you want it changed. See 12.6.
