Generation history

Every image, every clip and every voice track you have ever generated in DOTV is kept in the generation history. Deleting the node or the canvas changes nothing — when you want something you made earlier back on the canvas, pick it from here instead of spending credits to make it again. This section covers where to open it, how to pick a few to put back on the canvas, how to take a batch at once, and what gets recorded.

Where to open it

The cyan + at the far left of the bottom toolbar → the Add media group below it → Pick from history. Right-click empty canvas and Add node has the same entry. So does History over on the right of the bottom toolbar.

The + on an empty cell of a grid group opens it too, and what you pick drops straight into that cell (see 9.3).

Picking a few to put back

The buttons on a cardHover and three float up in the middle: View (fills the screen with the original, and you can page left and right from there), Use (puts it back on the canvas) and Download. A fourth, Remove, sits in the top corner.
1 / 3
The whole of "Asset history": kinds, grouped by day, and everything you've generated.
  • The top row splits into Image / Video / Audio, each with its count in brackets.
  • Below that they are grouped by day, newest first; the control on the right flips it to oldest first.
  • The title bar also carries a zoom (50% to 200%): larger when you are hunting for one old image, smaller when you are scanning what you made recently.
  • Hover a card and three float up in the middle: View fills the screen with the original (and from there you can page left and right, or download it), Use puts it back on the canvas, Download saves it locally. A fourth, Remove, sits in the top corner.

Coming in from Add media, they land wherever you opened the menu; coming in from History, they land in the middle of the view.

Taking a batch at once

Bulk actions, top right, switches to multi-select: a tick box appears on every card, and the one on a date line takes that whole day at once. Then delete, download or use the lot in one go — pick as many as you like. Exit selection leaves multi-select.

What gets recorded

Recorded Not recorded
Images / video / speech the models produced Media you uploaded or pasted in yourself
Upscales and batch shots count as output too Nodes that haven't finished generating
Every regeneration of the same node is its own entry ——

Uploaded material is left out automatically — name it with Save to my assets in the right-click menu and in it goes, pickable from here from then on (see 10.1).

So this is where you find "the better version from last week" — you regenerated over it at the time, but that version is still in the history.
