Support & feedback

Where do you go when you're stuck? DOTV keeps a small headset button at the bottom right — the entry to AI support, present on every page (the canvas too). It opens a chat window: questions about using the product get instant answers (it has read this guide), and anything it can't handle can be handed to a human. This section covers where it lives, how to ask, and what to do when an answer misses.

Where it is

Support entry, bottom rightThis button sits on every page (the canvas too; it steps left when the Agent panel is open on the right). A red dot appears when new messages arrive while the window is closed.

The button at the bottom right, and the chat window it opens.

Every page's bottom-right corner has this button — home, docs, the canvas. On the canvas, when the Agent panel is open on the right, the button and the window step left by that panel's width so they never cover the Agent composer.

Click once to open, again to close. If you're not signed in, clicking asks you to sign in first — support conversations belong to your account, and your history only comes back once you're in. When a new message arrives while the window is closed, a red dot lights up on the button.

How to ask

The window works like any chat: type at the bottom, Enter to send. Two things worth knowing:

  • Attach images — click the image button left of the input, or just paste a screenshot. "What does this error mean?" works far better with a picture than with three paragraphs.
  • The three buttons up top — history (everything you asked before; click one to continue), new chat (start a fresh conversation for a new topic), and collapse.

Before answering, it sometimes shows a line like "Searching past answers… / Searching the guide…" — that's it checking references: first the human-reviewed Q&A history, then the body of this guide. So usage questions like "why was I charged credits" or "where is the camera-move" get the fastest, sharpest answers; when an answer cites its source, the link takes you straight to the relevant section.

When an answer misses

At the bottom-left of each answer bubble is a dislike button: it opens a feedback dialog (pre-filled with the answer you were looking at) — write a line about what was wrong and send it. Every piece of feedback is reviewed by a person, and corrected answers become the standard answers of the future.

When it truly can't help, or the matter needs a person (orders, refunds, account issues), just say "human" in the window: your conversation joins the manned queue, and support replies in the same window when they come online — human messages carry a small "Human" badge so you always know who you're talking to. No need to wait around: the red dot on the button tells you when a reply arrives.

One more route

Beyond the support window, Account → Feedback takes messages too (see 14.2) — feature requests and UI complaints are better filed there. For billing questions, check 14.9 first: that page is an FAQ-shaped overview and usually has the answer on the spot.

The two Help menus (the one at the bottom of the left rail, and the one at the far right of the canvas toolbar) also have two entries that lead to this same window: Support and Contact sales both bring it up. Those menus also carry Guide (opens this manual in a new tab) and Follow us (hover or click to pop a QR card); ICP filing and We're hiring only appear once the site has that content configured — when they aren't, the entries aren't listed at all.
